The Uttar Pradesh government ahead of the “Pran-Pratishtha” is ready to set world record by installing the longest solar light line in the world. In this pioneering initiative, it aims to seamlessly connect the previously segmented “Ghats” with solar street lights to create a spectacular visual.

Earlier the record was help by Malham in Saudi Arabia. It set the record in 2021 by installing 468 solar lights spread over a stretch of 9.7 Kms. The U.P government committed to increasing the use of renewable energy decided to install 470 solar lights covering a stretch of 10.2 Kms. It will connect “Guptar Ghat” with “Laxman Ghat”. After completing the line from “Guptar Ghat” to “Jhunki Ghat” it is extending the line till “Nayaghat”. These solar lights will be LED based operating at 4.4 watts with smart technology. Under the directions of Yogi government, UPNEDA has already completed about 70% of the installation work.

They will install the remaining 160 solar street lights by January 22. Illuminated with a radiant glow Ayodhya will be all decked-up to welcome Ram- Lalla.

With this historic feat, Ayodhya will once again enter Guinness book of world records. Earlier it had broken its own record by lighting 22.23 Lakh Diyas (earthen lamps) on Deepotsav at the Ghats of Saryu river. This initiative will also be a major boost to Yogi Adityanath’s vision of making Ayodhya a solar city.

Currently, the state government along with local administration are communicating with the Guinness Book of Records officials. Once the inspection is done on 22nd January, Ayodhya will be welcoming Ram-Lalla in all its glory!

As of now, Ayodhya is all set to celebrate Amrit Mahotsav from 14th January to 22nd January. It is also organizing a 1008 Hundi Mahayaga in which meals will be provided to thousands of devotees. Additionally, the administration is erecting multiple tents to accommodate thousands of devotees who will be visiting the city for “Pran-Pratishtha”.
