Navratri is one such festival where the essence of the worship remains the same across the length and breadth of India, only the flavours differ and there lies the beauty in this diversity.
Navratri celebrations are held twice annually for nine days from Pratipada to Dashami in the first half of the months of “Ashwayuj” and “Chaitra”. The festival of Navratri in the month of Ashwayuj is known as Sharat Navratras while that in the month of Chaitra are popularly known as Vasant Navratras.
On this auspicious occasion of Shardiya Navratri, we are presenting to you the “Different forms of Nava Durga”.
In today’s episode, Anshu Dubey-ji will be shedding light on the arrival and worship of Himaputri Mata Shailputri on the first day of Navratri.
