In a recent viral incident, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has once again showcased her commitment to protecting the sanctity of Hindu temples! The minister was recorded while raising important points on the need for reform in temple management in Tamil Nadu. The fearless leader made the ‘Don’t Put Money in Hundi’ trend on social media!!! Let’s talk about the temple hundi incident and HRCE that has DMK loyalists in a social media rage!

The Perumal Brahmotsavam Yatra Plea

The incident occurred during a Thoothukudi district visit of Minister Sitharaman. The leader was visiting the flood-hit area in Tamil Nadu. Later, she also happened to visit the local Sri Vaikundanatha Perumal temple. Here many devotees came up to her to share concerns about the obstruction of the Perumal Brahmotsavam Yatra. The yatra path was obstructed by the overflow of public toilet waste on the pathway.

In response to the vocal complaint, the minister spoke with the temple management and HRCE officials. She stated that the official should answer the call of duty. Moreover, they should respond to the complaint in a timely fashion. She unashamedly flexed her political muscle for the cause of a Hindu temple and its devotees!

The Finance Minister’s concern about the Perumal Brahmotsavam Yatra path is justified. Additionally, her statements underscores the urgent need for reform in the temple’s management. The overflow of public toilet waste onto the yatra’s path is a clear violation of the sanctity of the religious procession. Sitharaman’s proposal for building a wall or implementing security measures to prevent such obstructions deserves serious consideration. Finally, a minister who speaks for the majority of Bharat!

Social Media Misinformation Campaign

Despite her polite words, and due authority, to ask the temple management to take the required steps, the Dravidian ideologists and keyboard warriors are busy trying to shame her. They are making a big ruckus on Sitharaman’s subsequent remark ‘Do Not Put Money In Hundi’!

Why? Well, while addressing the complaint the minister asked a devotee not to give donation money in the temple hundi. Instead, she advised them to give it elsewhere to be put to good use.

These simple words have ignited a significant debate on social media. Consequently, in response it is placing the larger issue of temple mismanagement under the HRCE Act under highlight.

The Finance Minister’s strong support to Hindus has hurt the communist sentiments prevalent in Tamil Nadu. To distance themselves from the lack of maintenance of temple premises, they are making a huge social media issue of her stance on donations to temples under HRCE.

Minister Sitharaman’s pro-Hindu stance is praiseworthy. It silently supports the Hindus who are asking the state government to Free The Temples from government control! Moreover, her rejection of donations to HRCE-controlled Hindu religious places highlights how the draconian act has harmed the majority of Bharat.

The HRCE act ensures that temples are a political cash cow. It allows communist parties to misappropriate donations and temple funds. Reportedly, the money often disappears into the pocket of political outfits that disguise the pilferage under ‘social upliftment programs’. In reality, the money is used by local parties to further their agenda in the area.

Moreover, the Finance Minister’s comments on not contributing money to temple hundis have a deeper implication. It reflects the BJP’s stance on the HRCE’s control over temple finances and management. The HRCE Act is a major source of discontent among Hindu devotees, who feel that their donations are not being utilized for the benefit of the temples and the Hindu community.

Sitharaman’s call for devotees not to put money in the temple ‘hundi’ is not a rejection of temple donations but a plea for devotees to use these funds wisely. She encourages devotees to contribute to the temple in ways that ensure their money is put to good Hindu use. It implies that the money should support the Acharyas or Iyers directly involved in the temple’s rituals. This move aligns with the broader call of Free The Temples From Government Control.

The Tamil Nadu government is driven by Dravidian ideology political outfits. These parties are known for their publicly stated bias against Sanatana Dharma and Hindu temple rituals. The HRCE Act, under their rule, allows for diversion of temple donations to state government favored pseudo-social upliftment plans. Thus, instead of serving the intended purpose of maintaining and uplifting the temples, the money pays for the political goals of communists.

Therefore, Sitharaman’s silent call should resonate with Hindu devotees and Sanatanis. The autonomy of Hindu temples should never be in the hands of those who treat it as a source of easy money. Her stance of ‘Don’t Put Money In Hundis’ is a call for Sleeping Sanatanis to awaken to the misuse of temple donations. It is high time to reconsider the HRCE Act in the present day and age. Let’s all work towards freeing the temples from state government control! Let’s ask for the removal of the draconian HRCE from all states!
