In a turn of unsurprising yet horrifying events, Kerala Hindus are facing the danger of total annihilation!
The appearance of a “Remove Hindutva” poster at a pro-Hamas rally in Kerala has ignited a significant degree of controversy and concern. The rally aimed to express solidarity with the Islamic terrorist organization Hamas. It featured a keynote address by Khaled Mashal, one of the founding members of the group. “Solidarity For Youth” orchestrated the event. It is the youth wing of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind and has reportedly received support from prominent political parties in the region, including the CPI(M) and Congress.

What has captured the attention of many observers is the peculiar objective articulated by the event organizers: “Uprooting Hindutva.” Malappuram, with a 71% Muslim population, is also infamously known as Mini Pakistan.
The Solidarity Youth Movement organized the gathering, known as the youth wing of the Jamaat-e-Islami Hind outfit, which is often associated with extremism. During his speech, Mashal reportedly made inflammatory comments, including a call for the annihilation of Hinduism and Zionism.
Mashal urged attendees at the event to offer unwavering support to Hamas while making anti-Hindu remarks. Shockingly, the rally saw participants chanting anti-Hindu slogans, and the audience showed support by applauding Mashal’s address, which appeared on a large screen.

Mashal first gained recognition as the head of Hamas’s branch in Kuwait following the group’s formation in 1987. Over the years, he became one of its founding members and ultimately assumed the role of the politburo leader in 1992. His ascension to leadership in Hamas was solidified following the assassination of Sheikh Ahmed Yassin and the appointment of Abdel Aziz al-Rantisi as his successor in the spring of 2004.
Mashal’s family had to leave the West Bank after the Six-Day War in 1967. He subsequently lived in exile in various Arab countries. Mashal was regarded as a part of Hamas’s “external leadership.”
In a separate but related development, the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) organized an anti-Israel demonstration in Kozhikode on October 26. The event drew tens of thousands of IUML supporters who voiced their opposition to the state of Israel.
During the rally, IUML members, including hundreds of women, chanted slogans such as “Solidarity with Palestine” and “Down with Zionism.” Banners bearing messages like “Indians with Palestine” and “End the Genocide in Gaza” were displayed. The IUML’s state president, Panakkad Syed Sadikali Shihab Thangal, made strong allegations against Israel. He referred to it as the world’s largest terrorist state. He also accused the Indian government of attempting to whitewash the actions of the Israeli government.
What makes this event particularly contentious is the IUML’s characterization of the actions carried out by Hamas as “resistance.”
Notably, Shashi Tharoor, a Congress Working Committee (CWC) member and Lok Sabha Thiruvananthapuram MP, attended this rally as the chief guest. However, his presence stirred controversy and criticism from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Kerala.
Initially, Tharoor referred to Hamas as terrorists and described the actions against Israel as a “terrorist act.” However, he later withdrew these comments after facing backlash from leftists and Hamas supporters who claimed his words had been misrepresented.
