Yesterday, police found the body of a class-ninth tribal girl from a tribal community abandoned in a brick-kiln in West Bengal ‘s Malda district. Family members of the victim claim that someone raped and then murdered her before dumping her body.

According to her family member, she went missing since late Thursday evening. They searched for her the entire night and continued throughout Friday. Finally her body was found behind an unused furnace of an abandoned brick kiln with her face smashed.
Her father said, “We strongly suspect that she was first raped and then murdered. we demand a through police probe and investigation in the matter. We are coming from an extremely poor financial background. But despite that I got her admitted in a local school. I wanted her to get educated.”
