Ideas Ignite. Action Accomplish. — HBR Patel
This Sanskrit Quote from Bhagavad Gita is taken from the Shloka 8 of the Third Adhyay. Bhagwan Shri Krishna motivates Arjuna to Shed the intention of Inaction fostered by Ignorance and attachment. Bhagwan Shri Krishna says:
नियतं कुरु कर्म त्वं कर्म ज्यायो ह्यकर्मण: |
शरीरयात्रापि च ते न प्रसिद्ध्येदकर्मण: || 8||
Keeping this in mind, perform your prescribed Vedic action; since action is superior to inaction. Even it is impossible to sustain the body without action.
One should perform an action. Action is superior to inaction or the intention to perform the action.
Many of us awake with dreams unfulfilled. And the most envious of those are the ones that are lazy. They have big plans to fulfil but their capacity to endure hardships while working towards the goal is tiny.
They want to land on the moon, but they don’t want to leave their cosy chair or comfort zone of their office.
They want to lose the extra fat around their belly, but they don’t want to give up the comfort of a lift and embrace the effort of climbing stairs.
Those are people with great vision but no intention to back it up with effort. They want to make big, but they wait for a stroke of luck to make them big. An effort is not on their list of tools to achieve excellence.
Sometimes, there are people, who put in the effort. Yet the effort seldom manifests in the desired outcome. They put in the work that others can not even fathom, yet they never move up an inch on their graph of success vs. time. They appear to be stagnant. And fearing the mockery of their failure, they quit and cease to perform an action.
Sometimes, there are people who are genuinely willing to put in the required effort to achieve the goals but could not muster enough courage to begin the journey. They leave their dream and accept the mediocre life for the acceptance of society.
These all should know and digest the words of the Bhagwan Shri Krishna:
Action is superior to inaction…
Give away the fear of failure, rise up from the fear of being mocked, overcome laziness and give it a go for your dreams. No one will push you.
We have to find the path and walk on it.
Once we overcome inertia and gain momentum, seldom any difficulties can stop us.
Give it a go ’cause Action is superior to inaction.
