UP’s food industry recently stopped Halal Certification, a ‘jizya’ in disguise! This certification was an unauthorized form of extortion by Islamic organizations in the food industry. On 12th February 2024, the UP Police Special Task Force (STF) apprehended four members of the Mumbai-based Halal Council of India for issuing fraudulent halal certificates. Let’s discuss this Haram practiced under the guise of Halal!

Halal Council of India: The Sham Unraveled

In November 2023, an FIR was filed against the three firms for issuing unauthorized halal certifications in Lucknow, UP. On 12th February 2024, the UP Police STF arrested four individuals from the Halal Council of India, namely its president Maulana Habib Yusuf Patel, vice-president Maulana Moidsheer Sapadia, general secretary Mohammad Tahir Zakir Hussain Chauhan, and treasurer Mohammad Anwar. The arrests were a consequence of the swift investigation and action of the STF.

During the interrogation, the accused admitted to providing unauthorized halal certificates to numerous companies in the state. Additionally, they accepted that the organization never conducted lab testing or verification of production processes. The issued certificate was for both meat and non-meat products. The certificate was an act of Islamic whitewashing for all products consumed by both Muslims and non-Muslims. The Halal Council of India never paid any attention to the food preparation methods of the recipient establishments.

Haram Payoffs and Practices Exposed

The Halal Council of India operated with impunity to extort exorbitant fees from its clients for the certification. The clients were could not complain about the fraud to any regulartry authority. An absence of stringent quality control measures allowed for the unchecked proliferation of fake halal certificates. The money earned was similar to jizya paid by Hindus to Islamic rulers. This fraudulently earned a large sum of money was a haram payoff for deceiving honest paying consumers.

Halal Certification: Government Crackdown and Judicial Intervention

CM Yogi imposed a ban on halal-certified food in UP after the events of November 2023. The rampant abuse and misuse of halal certification put the health and faith of consumers at risk.

Thereafter, the UP government criminalized the production, storage, distribution, and sale of all halal-certified products; except those intended for export.

Additionally, an FIR was registered against several firms, including Halal India Pvt Ltd and Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind Halal Trust, for fraudulent and unauthorized practices. Yogi Baba took the issue seriously. He ensured that no stone was left unturned to block this form of extortion!

However, the legal battle surrounding halal certification soon took a new turn. The Supreme Court intervened to protect halal certification firms from coercive action. SC ordered that no punitive measures against firms like Halal India Limited and Jamiat Ulama should be taken. The SC’s order sparks controversy and debate on why fraudulent firms are spared the wrath of the administration.

Moreover, appeasement specialists and victim cardholder Muslim organizations argue that the UP’s ban on halal products instills fear and apprehension among Muslim communities. How does the ban on halal certifications scare a Muslim? No one can comprehend this absurdity! Why do they want to project ‘Dara Hua Musalaman’? Seems like they expect to be able to restart this pseudo-jizya soon under the SC’s protection?!

The revelations surrounding halal certification underscore the urgent need for change in the certification process. The certification of unchecked food production exploited Muslim religious sentiments for commercial gain. Thus, the issuance of fraudulent certificates should be penalized, not protected! Therefore, the Muslim community should also label the act as Haram! However, the Muslim organizations will not say that! Why? Maybe they have some skin in the game too???!!

Undermining the Hindu consumer trust by forcing halal certification of all products is similar to extorting jizya! Halal certification should be a choice in India. Those industries or suppliers, with a considerable Muslim customer base, can choose to apply for this certificate via government bodies. No private firm or oraganization should have the right to issue this certifacte. Regulatory authorities should enforce strict guidelines. Why? To ensure that halal certification does not become a form of coercive haram payoffs to illegitimate institutions.

If Bharat is truly secular, then Halal Certification should be banned forever! However, as Bharat is ‘sickular’; so Halal marks should be allowed only on those items that cater to Muslims. Why? Because Sanatanis should not have to pay for the peace of mind of ‘peacefuls’! Hope this shady business of halal pulls down its shutters in Bharat soon. Until then, let Sanatani Bhart choose to never buy anything which is certified as halal. Let Sanatanis never pay jizya to Islamic organizations again!
