Is rise of neo-fascism inevitable in Europe? In response to the M-threat, is it just a matter of time?

The word fascism comes from the word ‘fasces’ meaning a bundle of sticks that signifies authority.

History is witness to the rise of fascism in Europe.

First it was in Italy, then Nazi Germany. While Mussolini lasted for 21 years, Hitler lasted just 12 years.

But the damage and suffering they wrought on the European continent and the larger world was astronomical in nature.

However, since the end of Second World War we haven’t seen the rise of any neo-fascist government in the European continent.

But did I spoke too soon?

Maybe yes, well there is only one reason why the political right, particularly the far-right in European states will harden and gain popularity in the years to come.

M-Threat

At present in India, you can be incarcerated if you write derogatorily of any community as a violation of Article 19 of the constitution.

That is why I leave it to the readers to understand which M-threat I am talking about.

This emanates mostly from the refugee crisis of 2015 which caused the entry of more than 1 million M-people into Europe.

On top of that the liberal policy followed by many of the so-called “liberal European” states like UK, Germany, France,Belgium compounded the crisis.

The result- Pakistanis, Syrians, Algerians are all wrecking havoc all over Europe, be it in looting property or raping women.

The recent riots in France is a grim testimony to the alarming situation in Europe.

Let’s look the demographic picture-M-community represents the second largest community in France, Germany, Belgium etc.

Terror Threat

The demographic and radicalization threat has aggravated the crisis of terrorism in that region.

Particularly Islamist terrorism. In fact a large part of the ISIS recruits before the fall of the so-called “caliphate” in 2019 were European M’s.

Should Sanatanis be Alarmed?

No, as long as Hindus, Sikhs and people of other Indic faiths (well that includes Christianity as well) are not discriminated against and are not harmed.

Perhaps the rise of neo-fascism will actually help in tigthening the noose around the M-community.

Also, maybe the use of sticks will make them all the more civilized and force them to mend their ways.

But the question still sticks-Is rise of neo-fascism inevitable in Europe?
