The Waqf Board tried very hard to gain another Hindu site of importance! However, they failed to do so after fighting for half-century! Every Bharatvasi knows the name of Lakshagriha from the epic Mahabharat! 5th February 2024, was a moment of monumental legal victory that ended the saga of dispute. Lasting over five decades, the legal battle was won by Hindus when the Baghpat ADJ Court gave a historic verdict on Lakshagriha site. The ruling bestowed ownership rights over 108 bighas of land to the Hindu community. Civil Judge Shivam Dwivedi’s decisive dismissal of the Muslim side’s claims marked the end of a protracted legal odyssey. Let’s review!

Nestled near the small village of Barnava in Uttar Pradesh, the 108 bighas of land are a witness to Sanatani history. Once known as Varnavrat, Barnava links to Mahabharat’s house of lac or Lakshagriha.

The remains buried in the heart of the land seem to remind Bharat of Pandavas’ escape from Duryodhana’s evil scheme by digging a tunnel under the palace made of Lac.

This tunnel was used to escape the burning Lakshagriha palace by the Pandavas. The site’s historical resonance is deeply intertwined with Sanatnai’s civilizational identity.

There were two excavations on the site by the ASI till date. They found inputs were found from the exacavted area:

  1. Relics, pottery, and remnants from the Rajput period.
  2. Housing structures that date back to the BC era.
  3. Mud walls and mud bricks to make homes.
  4. Mud plaster made with reed walls plastered over with mud.
  5. Flood remains similar to that of Hastinapur, marking that the structures belong to the same era.

In 1972 the legal battle for Lakshagriha commenced. The case was initiated in a Meerut court by Mukhim Khan on behalf of the Sunni Waqf Board. He claimed that the mound of mud on the land was a shrine or mazar of Sheikh Badruudin. Additionally, he stated that adjacent to the shrine was a Muslim graveyard. Finally, he stated that the land was a registered Wakf property of the Sunni Waqf Board.

This claim began the 53-year legal battle that traversed through diverse judicial forums, culminating in the Baghpat District and Sessions Court.

The Hindu side was representing Krishnadutt Maharaj’s claim on the land. He claimed that the mound of land in Barnawa village is the Mahabharata-era Lakshagriha and not a Sunni shrine.

The adjoining lands were the property of Gandhi Dham Ashram and not a graveyard. Through the testimonies of many witnesses and inputs from eminent historians like Amit Rai, the court’s verdict was given in favor of the Hindus.

Waqf Board The New Bully In Town?

21 instances when Waqf Boards have been accused of encroaching properties

PC OpIndia

Under the influence of radicals, the Waqf Board bullies Hindus to fill its coffers and satisfy a perverse need to create dissent. The board seems driven by a constant greed for acquiring resources. Similar to the Islamic invaders of Bharat, these boards are not trying to preserve Muslim history. Rather they are trying to grab land and revenue sources like the Mafia!

Currently, their attempt to grab Lakshagriha, a place of Sanatan civilizational importance, is emblematic of their insensitivity to truth and lust for power. Thankfully, the indomitable spirit of Hindus won this round. How many more battles do Hindus have to win to secure their history and identity? Why do Indian Muslims not recognize sites of Mahabharat and Ramayan as their shared cultural heritage? Are they not people who belong to the soil of Bharat?

Preserving the Legacy and Safeguarding Civilizational Identity

Hindus across the nation celebrate this historic triumph. However, this is a moment of reflection for all. Sanatanis need to stand united to make concerted efforts to safeguard and preserve Bharat’s cultural legacy. Unfortunately, the Indian Muslims are mostly brainwashed radicals misguided by zealot preachers. Therefore, most of them prefer to identify with looters that harmed their ancestors and destroyed their legacy. Moreover, they do not want to ground themselves in Bharat’s civilizational identity which is also their historical past. As if identifying with Bharat’s civilizational truths runs contrary to their faith!

The Waqf Board battles for power and influence are endless and resource consuming. Winning or losing legal rights to Bharat’s land is becoming a war of egos for radical Islamists. If the Waqf Board Act is not removed soon, most of Bharat’s history will be drowned in legal warfare with Waqf Boards. We hope the government soon repeals this heinous act that gives unlimited power to Islamists and their nefarious plans. Until then, Sanatanis stay united to fight for rights, identity, and heritage one battle at a time!
