As the day of “Pran-Pratishtha” is nearing the people of Bharat are getting ready to celebrate Diwali on 22n January. The people are in a zealous mood to welcome their Shri Ram in Ayodhya after a wait of atleast 550 years. The joy and enthusiasm can be seen in the form of gifts that they are sending to Ram Mandir. The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust is receiving gifts from across Bharat.

Unique Gifts-


Lets take a look at these unique gifts-

  • Gifts From Nepal– The trust received around 3000 gifts from Sita’s birthplace, Janakpur. Ram Roshan Das the priest of Janki temple in Nepal sent thousands of baskets full of offerings to the trust. They were full of gifts like silver shoes, ornaments, and clothes dedicated to Shri Ram. Earlier also Ayodhya had received two large Shaligram stones from Nepal. People believe that these fossilised stones found in the riverbed of Kali-Gandaki river represents a form of Vishnu.



  • Sri Lanka- Delegates from Sri Lanka presented Ram Janmabhoomi with rocks from Ashok Vatika. Ravana had kept Sita as captive in this garden in Treta yug. It is located in Seetha Eliya, a town in central Sri Lanka, close to the resort town of Nuwara Eliya, at the Hakgala Botanical Garden.



  • Ahmedabad, Gujrat– Gifts a 5 ft. long arrow to the Ram Mandir. A passionate bunch of young people from Ahmedabad painstakingly crafted this incredible work. It is named as “Ajay Baan” weighs 11.5 kg and is made up of gold, silver, copper, brass, and iron.



  • Vadodara, Gujrat- Viha Bharwad, a resident of Vadodara is presenting 108 ft. long, 3.5 ft. wide incense stick for the Pran-Pratishtha. Composed of Gir cow dung, Gir cow ghee, Deodar tree wood, and other important materials. With a fragrance that reaches several kilometers, the stick is environmentally friendly and will last for approximately 1.5 months. It weighs 3500 kg and represents the sentiments of people.



  • World Clock– Anil Kumar Sahu, a Lucknow based vegetable vendor presented Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust with a 75 cm diameter clock. It can show the time in eight different countries simultaneously.



  • Surat, Gujrat- A diamond merchant from Surat used over 5000 American diamonds and 2kg of silver to create a necklace inspired by Ram Mandir. The artist plans to gift this extraordinary piece of art to the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. It took as many as 40 artisans to create this masterpiece in 35 days.



  • Then Surat being the textile hub of the country will also offer a special saree to the Ram Mandir. The saree is meant for Sita, the beloved wife of Shri Ram. It will feature pictures of the Ayodhya temple and Shri Ram.
  • Bihar– The Mahavir Temple Trust in Patna announced that it will offer a bow and arrow made up of gold to Ram Mandir. Kishore Kunal of the Mahavir Trust said that Sita’s marriage happened only after Shri Ram broke the Dhanush. Thus the gift not only holds a significant place but will also symbolise the connection between Mithila and Ayodhya.
  • Gujarat has also sent a temple drum, or nagaru, made in Dariyapur by the All India Dabgar Samaj. The courtyard of the temple will be home to this 56-inch gold foil nagaru.
  • A delegation of people from Etah gifted a massive bell to install at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya. Built of “Astadhatu” (an alloy consisting of eight metals), it weighs approximately 2400 kg.



  • A 64-year-old Challa Srinivas Sastry from Hyderabad travelled 8000 Kms on foot from Hyderabad to Ayodhya to present Shri Ram with gold-plated footwear. He said he wanted to fulfill his father’s desire of being a “Kar-Sevak”.



  • Vadodara farmer Arvindbhai Patel has crafted a massive lamp that weighs 1100 kg for the temple. It is 9.25 feet high, 8 feet wide and made of “Panchdhatu”. He says it has the capacity to contain 851 Kgs of Ghee.



  • Nagpur-based chef Vishnu Manohar has declared that he will cook 7,000 kg of “Ram Halwa” for the devotees who will come for the “Pran-Pratishtha”.
  • 200 kg of Ladoo will be sent from the Mathura-based Shri Krishna Janmasthan Seva Sansthan to Ayodhya as a “Yagya” offering.
  • Additionally, the official custodian of the Sri Venkateswara temple in Tirupati has declared that on that auspicious day. It will send one lakh Ladoos for the devotees.
All in all such efforts and gifts from across Bharat symbolises the sentiments of people. It represents their faith and the unwavering love and devotion that they have for their “Sita-Ram”
