Smriti Irani was in Madinah on 8th January 2024. She led a completely non-Muslim delegation to the holy city of Madinah and triggered an Islamist meltdown!!! The Union Minister Irani’s visit to Madinah was an attempt by Bharat and Saudi Arabs at a healthy socio-religious exchange. It paid tribute to the improving bilateral relations between the two countries. The leader’s visit came hot on the heels of her signing the Bilateral Haj Agreement 2024 with the Saudi minister of Hajj and Umrah. Thus, the visit can is the Saudi’s way of welcoming strong ties with Bharat in the coming days.
During her visit, Smriti Irani undertook reviewing Haj preparations, meeting Saudi leaders, and participating in the Umrah Conference in Jeddah. She explored the surroundings of the Prophet’s Mosque, Al Masjid Al Nabwi, the mountain of Uhud, and the periphery of the Quba Mosque. Thus, the delegation gave all the hotspots of Madiha their due importance.
As an important minister and a Hindu woman, Smriti Irani was warmly welcomed everywhere. The completely non-Muslim delegation, including the woman joint secretary of minority affairs, were state guests.

The Pakistani and Bangladeshi social media users went up in smoke!!! Citing religious insensitivity, they lost their motormouth to use derogatory intolerant language against the minister and her delegation. A Pakistani news portal even referred to the delegation as a “Hindu delegation” and questioned Irani’s attire in totality. Seems like the silent statement made in the saree had the desired effect!
Hateful comments by netizens targeted both the Madkhali sect and Saudis for allowing a non-Muslim delegation to visit Madinah. Some netizens used derogatory terms like “Kafir Khatoon” to further stir controversy.
Unsurprisingly, the Saudis themselves countered these negative sentiments. A Saudi netizen emphasized that opinions from outsiders were irrelevant. The user states, “Our land, our country, our rules,”! This triggered a mental breakdown in Indian Subcontinent Muslims. After all, they realized that the host nation was a big boss who could not be dictated to by an online frenzy! Saudi Arabia extended Indian MP Irani their hospitality and she accpeted it graciously, there is no place for rabble rousers in between!!!
To add fuel to the fire, many Indian netizens flexed their muscles of solidarity with Smriti Irani! They even hailed her choice of attire!! In times of diversity speeches, this intolerant rant of small-minded Islamists showcases their true face. Bharat’s Hindus are expected to accept a lot in the name of diversity.
