Swami Prasad Maurya’s disgusting remark on goddess Laxmi speaks volumes of the mentality of the Samajwadi Party
There is no doubt that the Samajwadi party of Akhilesh Yadav is a virulent anti-Hindu party.
In the past, its leaders have repeatedly berated Sanatan Dharma in the most disgusting of ways and were even half hearted in their apology.
This time, a SP leader Swami Prasad Maurya has crossed all limits by his disgusting, distasteful comments on Sanatan Dharma’s revered deity Goddess Laxmi.
His comments reeks of the Islamist mentality that is harming the unity and integrity of Bharat.
In the light of this controversy, it becomes necessary to understand the mentality of the leader concerned.
Swami Prasad Maurya has questioned how Goddess Lakshmi can have four hands. He also questioned the essence of how Sanatan deities function.
The distasteful comments clearly go against all norms of civility that is expected of a political representative and that too a Member of Legislative Assembly.

Swami Prasad Maurya is a serial offender. This is not the first time that he has insulted Sanatan Dharma.
Earlier he also targeted the holy Ramcharitamanas written by Tulsidas. He asserted that certain parts of the epic are objectionable without providing any proof of his claims.
This shows that his only agenda is to insult and abuse Hindus.
This is not the only controversy.
He had also claimed that before becoming a Hindu pilgrimage site in the eighth century, Badrinath used to be a Buddhist monastery.
Does Swami Prasad Maurya got the guts to insult Islam, its scriptures and its Prophet?
No, he doesn’t because he knows, very well, the consequences he will face if he insults or made any adverse remarks towards the Muslims or their religious conduct.
But no, this cannot go on any more. Swami Prasad Maurya is a serial offender and serious action must be taken against this offender.
The law must come down hard on him.
Hence Swami Prasad Maurya’s disgusting remark on Goddess Laxmi needs to be condemned and strict action must be taken against him.
