The toolkit chants ‘Death of Democracy’ at public platforms against the BJP-led government! However, in West Bengal, where the ED team faced a violent mob attack, the LeLi-gang is silent!! Why was the ED team attacked? They were out conducting searches related to the Public Distribution System (PDS) scam in West Bengal. Of course, this attack was allegedly instigated by the corrupt Mamata Di or her goons.
On 5th January 2024, a mad mob of 800-1000 people harmed the ED team, a Journalist and the CRPF personnel in Sandeshkhali. Let’s talk about the stolen grains under the PDS scam and planned attacks on officials as per TMC Leaders’ orders.
A team of ED and journalists, under the protection of CRPF, faced a violent mob while trying to conduct searches related to the PDS scam. The team’s destination was the home and offices of TMC’s leader Shahjahan Sheikh. Reports state that the leader instigated a paid mob to attack the team to dissuade them from acting against him.
As per reports, the paid mob was in possession of sticks and stones. Although the weapons do not ring alarm bells, the high number of people in the mob and their murderous intent were enough to cause serious damage. As a result of the attack, the ED officials were admitted for injuries to the nearest hospital.
The mob attack damaged the ED vehicle, and injured 3 officials and a News18 Bangla journalist! Adding insult to injury, the mob stole their mobile phones, laptops, wallets, and all personal belongings as well.

How does Mamata Di respond? Well, she says dont provoke the people by investigating their ‘priya’ leaders. The propaganda machinery is already linking the ‘love’ for TMC inspired an independent mob to attack the Modi-run-ED investigations!!! Is this statement Irony or Shamelessness??!! Who knows!

The ED’s previous raid on the residence of TMC’s Minister Jyoti Priya Mallick linked TMC to the PDS scam. In this raid, the ED uncovered financial irregularities and spurious deposits in bank accounts.

The ED is investigating the TMC and its leaders! Why? They want to bring those rats that stole the grain from the mouths of the poor during the COVID-19 pandemic before the law. Recently, the trail led them to TMC’s leader in Sandeshkhali. Thus, for the 5th Jan attack, the ED blames TMC leader Shahjahan Sheikh and his associates. The local police have filed a complaint against the attackers.
While stealing grains from the poor that Mamata Di projects them as her family! The TMC has turned the state into a mockery of democracy. The panchayat elections and violence that occurred thereafter have proven that ‘jungle raj’ prevails in the state.
The recent violent incident against an investigating ED team in West Bengal points to the vile tactics used by TMC to hide their crimes. Illegal immigrants are easily mobilized by TMC’s leaders, not just to derail democracy in the state, but also to impede officials in the course of their duties.
The locals are afraid to vote against the Tyrant TMC for fear of adverse consequences. The police work hand-in-glove with the Tyrant TMC. The Union government is not allowed to run investigations against the TMC leaders!! Under such a condition of the state, is President’s Rule not a necessity? Even the Congress is demanding it! Let’s hope that the BJP does something for the people of West Bengal! Else the state is all but lost! By ensuring that the PDS scam investigations spiral into violence, fear, and confusion; Tyrant TMC continues to bury Democracy in the state!

- The PDS scam is related to the irregularities in the distribution of essential provisions meant for the Public Distribution System or PDS.
- In April 2020, reports emerged that TMC leaders were pilfering ration meant for distribution under the PDS system. This stolen grain was re-distributed under the TMC party sticker with Mamata Di’s branding!!!
- CM Mamata Banerjee and her food minister publicly cried crocodile tears of victimization. They blamed the Modi government, accusing it of not assigning West Bengal its fair quota of food grains.
- However, these statements were TMCs’ diversionary tactics to shift attention away from the pilferage promoted by their leaders.
- The then West Bengal Governor, Jagdeep Dhankar, noted the TMC’s actions and wrote a letter to FCI. Additionally, a letter from the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution highlighted the intentional delay by the Mamata Banerjee government in distributing additional food grains allocated under the PMGKAY scheme.
- The ED arrested TMC’s Jyoti Priya Mallick last year for the PDS scam. The department claims at least 30% of the grains were pilfered away by the TMC.
